We are looking for a Commodity/ Project Buyer for our Stockholm facility
This position sits in our Rail Control Solutions (RCS) divison. RCS offers a comprehensive portfolio of rail systems. These systems are key to increased line availability, line capacity and operational line speeds to meet the requirements of every railway operator. It is headquartered in Stockholm and have more than 2500 employees in 20 countries. The main sites are Stockholm, Madrid, Rome, Bangkok, Braunschweig, Pittsburgh and Katowice.
Your Role
Evaluate, select, develop and maintain contacts for long term relationships within the area of contractors, supplying e.g. installation work packages, construction work, safety assessments etc.
- Successfully manage the project spend and realize savings.
- Optimize and manage the supply chain.
- Measure, report and improve supplier performance.
- Managing material requirements in projects, sending requests for quotations, negotiating with suppliers, placing and managing purchase orders.
Your Challenges
- Create, harmonize and manage Project Procurement plan, prepare, establish and manage Long Lead Items Planning
- Manage material cost performance (TAC), manage changes to Bill Of Material (BoM)
- Establish purchase contracts for the projects and sign / countersign purchase contract with supplier. Manage purchase contracts in the projects
Ensure deliveries to the projects, manage material quality claims
- Secure compliance of the project with sourcing strategy.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Purchasing experience, preferably within the construction sector or an industrial environment of electronic or electro mechanical equipment
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate simply and effectively at all levels and in particular across regions.
- Presentable, enthusiastic and trustworthy.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
- Flexible and able to work accurately to deadlines
- Exposure to cost reduction programmes
- Ability to work in multi cultural environment
