Lead engineer - Validation and Testing

We are currently recruiting for a Lead engineer - Validation and Testing in our Passengers Division in Västerås, Sweden.
 
 
The Job Role:
 
The successful candidate will plan, coordinate and perform design verification testing for Bombardier Transportation products.  Work closely with design engineers to develop and produce test procedures.  Develop and maintain a documentation system for recording test results. Interface with product quality and project engineers. With responsibility for project testing and support to the engineering team, you will work closely with the project managers. This will cover all aspects relating to project testing activities, ensuring compliance with all project deliverables for testing and for providing office and site based support to the project team.
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
  • Identifying all testing requirements for product acceptance throughout the project phases, producing the type test plan and budget requirements.
  • Manage project vehicle testing requirements and programmes as an integrated element of the engineering assurance process
  • Manage the day-to-day generation of testing/verification documentation
  • Maintain secure records of appropriate documentation
  • Implement detailed plans and controls to meet project objectives

Vilken utbildning krävs

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
  • Managerial skills in a technical environment
  • Structured approach and excellent communication skills
  • Logical and practical analysis of complex situations, processes and technical issue
  • Fluent English is a must as well as Swedish
