Could you be the full-time Mechanical Design Engineer in Motala we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Mechanical Design expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Johannes Khawsho, (ALM Engineering Manager, Motala ).
You’ll Develop technical solutions for different subsystem (e.g. Carbody and bogies) as a part of train upgrade, repair and refurbishment projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business.
You’ll specifically take care of solutions for modification of drawings, BOM and technical instructions,
but also monitor installations, identify the need of adjustments/modifications and update drawings and technical documents accordingly.
We’ll look to you for:
- Manage the technical scope, including preparation of drawings, material lists and technical documents needed to perform different projects.
- Perform and document technical analysis, safety assessments, design reviews and perform simple strength calculations for fastenings.
- Manage technical scope of crash repairs.

- DEGREE OR PASSION IN Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge in design and maintenance engineering activities.
- Experience of 3D CAD design (Catia V5, Solidworks or equivalent)
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Knowledge of technical project management
